Terms of Service

GenerateMyReceipt is an online tool for creating, downloading, printing, and emailing itemized receipts for genuine sales and services. Basic receipt creation is available without an account; optional paid plans add saved branding, templates, receipt history, and related features.

We may add, change, or remove features over time. We will not materially reduce the core functionality of a paid plan during a period you have already paid for.

You must be at least 16 years old and able to form a binding contract to use the Service. If you use the Service on behalf of a business, you represent that you are authorized to bind that business to these Terms.

When you create an account, you agree to provide accurate information, keep your credentials confidential, and notify us promptly of any unauthorized use. You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account.

The Service exists to document real transactions. You agree that every receipt you create will accurately reflect a genuine sale, service, or payment.

You must not use the Service to:

• Create receipts for transactions that did not occur, or that misstate amounts, dates, items, or parties.
• Commit or facilitate fraud, including fake expense claims, false reimbursements, tax evasion, or warranty fraud.
• Impersonate another business or person, or use a business name or logo you are not authorized to use.
• Violate any applicable law or regulation, or infringe anyone's rights.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Service, attempt to gain unauthorized access, or scrape or resell the Service without our written permission.

We may suspend or terminate access immediately and without refund if we reasonably believe you are using the Service to create fraudulent or misleading documents, and we may cooperate with law enforcement where required.

You retain all rights to the information you enter into the Service and the receipts you generate ("Your Content"). You grant us a limited license to host, process, and transmit Your Content solely to operate the Service — for example, rendering a PDF, storing a saved receipt, or emailing a receipt to a customer at your direction.

You are solely responsible for Your Content, including its accuracy and your right to use any names, logos, and customer details it contains.

Basic receipt creation is free and does not require a credit card. Paid plans are billed in advance on a monthly or yearly basis at the prices shown on our pricing page at the time you subscribe.

• Automatic renewal — subscriptions renew automatically at the end of each billing period unless cancelled beforehand.
• Cancellation — you can cancel anytime from your account settings; you keep paid features until the end of the current billing period.
• Refunds — except where required by law, payments are non-refundable, including for partial billing periods or unused features.
• Price changes — we will give you at least 30 days' notice before a price change takes effect, and it will apply only from your next renewal.
• Taxes — prices exclude applicable taxes, which are added where required.

The Service — including its software, design, templates, and branding — is owned by us or our licensors and is protected by intellectual-property laws. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the Service in accordance with these Terms. Receipt templates may be used only to generate receipts through the Service.

The Service is a document-generation tool. Nothing in the Service constitutes accounting, tax, or legal advice, and generating a receipt does not guarantee it satisfies the invoicing, tax, or record-keeping requirements of your jurisdiction. Consult a qualified professional to confirm what your business is required to issue and retain.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure, or that any content will be accurate or reliable.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, revenue, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service.

Our total liability for all claims relating to the Service in any 12-month period will not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid us in that period or (b) USD $50. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any claims, damages, and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising from Your Content, your use of the Service, or your violation of these Terms — including any claim that a receipt you created was inaccurate, misleading, or used for an improper purpose.

You may stop using the Service or delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you breach these Terms, if required by law, or if we discontinue the Service (in which case we will give reasonable notice where practicable).

Upon termination, your right to use the Service ends. Sections that by their nature should survive — including Your Content responsibilities, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnification — survive termination.

We may update these Terms from time to time. For material changes, we will provide notice by email (if you have an account) or through the Service at least 14 days before they take effect. Continuing to use the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which GenerateMyReceipt is established, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction, unless applicable consumer law gives you the right to bring proceedings where you live.
